MRS. NITA STRAIN
Mrs. Nita Strain, 68, of Hogansville, died Thursday, October 14, 2010, at her home.
Born September 27, 1942, in Meriwether County, Mrs. Strain was the daughter of the late Leon and Louise Shell Hamby. She was a former member of Hogansville Pilot Club, was employed as a production supervisor for Uniroyal, Inc. and Westek, Inc., and was especially fond of gardening and maintaining her yard. A resident of Hogansville most of her life, she was the wife of the late Billy R. Strain.
Survivors include her daughters and son in-law, Deborah Janney of Newnan and Lynn and Robert Alford of West Point; sister, Margie Bunch of Monroe, NC; four grandchildren, Dacia and Wade Clark of West Point, Casey Phillips of Luthersville, Jessica Alford and Blake Alford, both of West Point; six great-grandchildren; and a special friend, William Perdue of LaGrange.
In accordance with Mrs. Strain's wishes, the body has been cremated and no service will be conducted.
