MRS. NINA ROGERS THOMPSON Mrs. Nina Rogers Thompson, 93, of Hogansville, died Thursday, January 9, 2014, at Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville. Born May 24, 1920 in Hogansville, Mrs. Thompson was the daughter of the late Charlie Henry and Mattie Spivey Rogers. She was a member of Living Waters Assembly of God, raised three generations of kids, and loved Atlanta Braves Baseball. Mrs. Thompson is survived by; her daughters, Theresa Atkinson of Newnan, Rheba Ann Furman of Jacksonville, FL., and Cheri Thompson of Columbus; sons and daughters in-law, Mike and Charlene Thompson of Hogansville and Mark and Jennifer Thompson of Douglasville, 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Fred Thompson. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 12, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. The Reverend Jason Rowland and the Reverend James Cannon will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
