Crystal Nicole "Niki" Starnes, 50, of Gay, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Warm Spring Medical Center.

Mrs. Starnes was born February 15, 1972, in Newnan and lived in Meriwether County most of her life. She served 24 years in law enforcement and had served 15 years in various capacities with the Hogansville Police Department. She was Baptist by faith, had a big heart and could love you to the moon and back, and loved her dachshunds.

Survivors include her husband, John Starnes of Gay; sons, Joseph Dallas Starnes and his wife Casandra Starnes of Hawkinsville, Taylor Andrew Williams and his partner Samuel Fisher of Vinings; mother and step-father, Pamela and Glenn Gentry of Gay; father and step-mother, Roy and Elaine Jordan of Newnan; grandchildren, Sophia Mullis, Mason Mullis Saylor Starnes, Keira Thomas; sisters, Crystal and Shane Knight of Jackson, Candice and Mike Bailey of Griffin; and brothers, Jason and Ashley Jordan, Josh and Joanna Jordan all of Newnan.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 7, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend David Arrington, Chaplain Terry Rainwater, and Chaplain George Bailey officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 6.
