Nichola E. (Nick) Smith

MR. NICK SMITH Mr. Nichola E. (Nick) Smith, 51, of LaGrange, died Monday, January 19, 2009, at Hospice LaGrange. The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, January 22, at Friendship Baptist Church in LaGrange. The Reverend James Moon will officiate and interment will be in Restlawn Memory Gardens. Born August 24, 1957, in Mt. Pillier, Vermont, Mr. Smith was a lifelong resident of LaGrange and was employed as an electrician. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughters and sons in-law, Ashley and Randy Combs and Mia and Roger McLendon, Jr., all of Newnan; grandchildren, Matthew, Dylan, Ashton, Kyndra, C.J., Kameron, Mercedes, Christian, Randy, and Alex; eight great-grandchildren; his mother, Estella Mae Smith of LaGrange; sister, Debra Holland of LaGrange; brothers, Paul Smith and David Smith, of LaGrange, and Bobby Smith of Roanoke, AL; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Russell E. Smith. The Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
