Nellie Smith Sheets

MRS. NELLIE SHEETS Mrs. Nellie Smith Sheets, 89, of LaGrange, died Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Hospice LaGrange. Born October 24, 1922, in Franklin, Mrs. Sheets was the daughter of the late Arthur Jackson Smith and the late Annie Pittman Smith. She lived in LaGrange most of her life and was Baptist by faith. Survivors include her grandchildren, Paula May, Randal Sheets, Jason Sheets, and Kelly Kemp, all of LaGrange; sister, JoAnn Geter of Bowdon; brothers, Arthur Eugene Smith and John Tillman Smith, both of LaGrange; eleven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Allison Sheets, and her son, James Larry Sheets. The family will host a graveside memorial service at 5:00 p.m., Monday, in the Ridgeway Baptist Church Cemetery in Heard County. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home, Hogansville.
