Mrs. Nancy Smith Lankford, 67, of Hogansville, passed away Friday, May 23, 2025, at Hospice LaGrange.

Mrs. Lankford was born March 16, 1958, in Franklin, daughter of the late Arthur William Smith and Mary K. McClellan Smith. A lifelong resident of Hogansville, she was a 1976 graduate of Hogansville High School and was employed in banking in Hogansville for 29 years. She was a member of Allen-Lee Memorial United Methodist Church in the Lone Oak Community

Survivors include her brother, Arthur W. Smith, Jr. of Hogansville; nieces and nephews, Lisa Gail Smith (Ricky), Christopher McWhorter (Stacy), Nancy Mariea Campbell (Chris), Michael T. Rainey (Faith), all of Hogansville; four great-nieces and five great-nephews; five great-great-nieces and 2 great-great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Joe Lankford; sister, Judy Ann Smith Rainey; and step-daughter, Michelle Lankford;

The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, May 29, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Dr. George Bailey will officiate and interment will be in Allen-Lee Memorial United Methodist Church Cemetery in the Lone Oak Community.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Thursday, prior to the service.
