Mrs. Myrtle Moon Stitcher, 83, of Hogansville, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021, at her home.
Mrs. Stitcher was born October 18, 1937, in Troup County, daughter of the late Hairme and Emmie Weldon Moon. A lifelong resident of Troup County, she retired from West Point Stevens Dunson Division after 27 years of service and attended Springhill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, Joanne (Walter) Capes, Bobby Joe (Lorene) Stitcher, Gail Stitcher, Brenda (Danny) Chatham all of Hogansville, Kenneth (Terita) Stitcher of LaGrange, Lorie (Robbie) Johnson of Hogansville; fourteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister in-law, Aunt Joyce; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Estelle Cottle, J. D. Moon, Herman Moon, and Shirley Allen.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 13, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Jody Mitchell will officiate and interment will be in the Stitcher Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday.
Flowers are welcomed or memorial contributions may be made to Springhill Baptist Church.
