MRS. MYRTLE P. BECKHAM Mrs. Myrtle Pearson Beckham, 78, of Grantville, died Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Hospice LaGrange. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m., Friday, July 6, at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Molena. The Reverend Mark Harris will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 9 Thursday night, and at other times will be at the home of Dennis and Jo Beckham in Newnan. Mrs. Beckham was born November 28, 1933, in Meriwether County, daughter of the late Benjamin and Leavy Ledford Pearson. A resident of Grantville since 1957, she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Grantville and retired from Arnall Insurance Agency in Newnan. Survivors include her sons and daughters in-law, Ronnie and Rita Beckham of Grantville, Dennis and Jo Beckham of Newnan; daughter in-law, Denise Beckham of Newnan; sister, Audrey Hicks of Thomaston; five grandchildren, Melissa and Pete Spratlin, Melanie and Michael Arrington, Stacy and Sean Thomas, Cristy and Daniel Standridge, and Chad Beckham; great-grandchildren, Chelsea Spratlin, Makayla Arrington, Andrew Thomas, Declan Thomas, Hunter Standridge; and step-great-grandchildren, Dalton Arrington and Ansley Arrington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry J. Beckham, and son, Larry Beckham. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
