Myra Azile Duffey

Mrs. Myra Azile Duffey, 78, of Blairsville, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2024, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

Mrs. Duffey was born November 22, 1946, in Enterprise, Alabama, daughter of the late Alton Joe Herren and Wilma Louise Myers Herren. A 1964 graduate of Albany High School, she was a former resident of LaGrange, had made her home in Blairsville for the past 24 years, had served as a Cub Scout leader, and was a member of Mountain Grace Baptist Church in Hayesville, NC. She had worked as a florist in Albany, LaGrange, and Blairsville for more than 40 years prior to her retirement.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Duffey; her sons, Brian Duffey and Joey Duffey; and her brother, Everett Deloy Herren. Survivors include her son, Paul Duffey and Amber of Blairsville and their children, Kolby Duffey, Justin Duffey, Allison Duffey, Abbigail Duffey, and Ashleigh Duffey; Brian's children, Megan Duffey and Everett Duffey; Joey's son, Warren Duffey; and two great-grandchildren,

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 4, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Terry Rainwater will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 3.
