PASTOR MURRAY HYATT Pastor Murray L. Hyatt, Sr., 65, of Hogansville, died Friday, August 27, 2010, at his home. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 29, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Jonathan Hannah, The Reverend Deon Adamson, the Reverend Terry Smay, and the Reverend Ed Story will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville. Born May 23, 1945, in Atlanta, Mr. Hyatt was the son of the late James and Curtis Leora Johnson Hyatt. He retired from Georgia Power Co, having served as shop foreman in Forest Park, Lithonia, and Columbus, and was a real estate agent for ten years. He served as an evangelist and minister for thirty years and was pastor of Spirit-Filled Ministries in Hogansville. Mr. Hyatt enjoyed hunting and served as a volunteer firefighter in Heard County for a number of years, Survivors include his wife, Jackie Hyatt of Hogansville; daughters and sons in-law, Sandy and Tony Edmondson and Kim Welborn and Steven Skipper, all of Franklin; son and daughter in-law, Murray, Jr. and Stacy Hyatt of LaGrange; sister, Vivian Land of McDonough; grandchildren, Daphne Holtzclaw, Clay Holtzclaw, Jonathan Welborn, Brittany Welborn, Drew Welborn, Caleb Hyatt, and Corey Hyatt; and great-grandchildren, Charity Stroud, Cason Holtzclaw, Hunter Welborn, and Kaylee Costley. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Saturday night, August 28th, at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home Services: 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 29th, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home Interment: Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville
