MR. MILTON PLANT

Mr. Milton Plant, 86, of McDonough, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin.

Mr. Plant was born July 24, 1936, in Luthersville, son of the late Robert Murray Plant and Henrietta Johnson Plant. A veteran of service in the U.S. Army, he was a long-time resident of McDonough and retired as an accounting supervisor for Overnite Transportation after almost 30 years of service. He was a member of Luthersville United Methodist Church and attended McDonough First United Methodist Church. Mr. Plant was an avid collector of antique tractors and agricultural equipment and enjoyed restoring Model A Fords. He was a member of the Georgia chapters of the International Harvesters Collectors Club and the Model A. Restorers Club.

Survivors include two nieces, Nancy Howell of Griffin and Gail Aydin of Newnan; and several cousins, uncle, and aunts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Isabel Zamarron; sister, Jean Plant Barber; and brothers, Lewis Travis Plant and Henry Gregory Plant.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 29, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Carol Cook will officiate and interment will be in the Luthersville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 7 Wednesday evening.
