MRS. MILLICENT GRIFFITH Mrs. Millicent Turner Griffith, of Blairsville and formerly of Hogansville, died Saturday, October 12, 2013, at Union General Hospital in Blairsville. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 13, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Willow Heim will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 until 2 Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Griffith was born April 16, 1926, in Camilla, daughter of the late Lester Robert Turner and Madge Adams Turner. She received a bachelor's degree from Georgia State College for Women and a master's degree from LaGrange College, and retired as admissions office manager for LaGrange College. She was a longtime member of the Green Bough Garden Club, and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hogansville, where she had served in the choir, had served as a church organist, and was active in the Annie Pearl Darden Circle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hubbard Griffith, and is survived by her son, Sandy Griffith and his wife, Gayle of Charlotte, NC; daughters, Jeannie Griffith Rich and her husband, Presley Rich of Blairsville, and Libby Griffith of LaGrange; grandchildren, Alex Rich and his fiancée, Cindy Riehl of Huntsville, AL, Katie Franklin and her husband, David of Blairsville; and great-grandchildren, Grayson Franklin and Jackson Franklin. Flowers are appreciated, or memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 333, Hogansville, GA 30230. Claude A.
