MRS. MILDRED C. THOMAS
Mrs. Mildred Clark Thomas, 92, of Vandalia, OH and formerly of Hogansville, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014, at Springhills Singing Woods Retirement Center in Dayton, OH.
Mrs. Thomas was born October 9, 1922, in Hogansville, daughter of the late Kiser and Maude Eason Clark. Before making her home in Vandalia in 2008, she lived in Hogansville most of her life and was a member of Highland Baptist Church. Mrs. Thomas was a licensed practical nurse and was retired from Clark-Holder Clinic.
Survivors include her daughter, Patsy Stevens of Vandalia; sister, Joyce Smith of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Anna Stevens Stein of Charleston, SC, Lauren Patricia Stevens of Vandalia, Sarah Thomas Wright of Stockton, MO, Gavin Michael Thomas of Barnesville, Abigail Jo Thomas of Jersey City, NJ; and a great-granddaughter, Austyn Grace Wright. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Huston Thomas; son, Michael Clark Thomas; infant daughter, Maudia Jo Thomas; and granddaughter, Allison Elizabeth Stevens.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 30, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Ron Daniel will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 until 2 Thursday afternoon.
