Mildred Novis Steele

Mrs. Mildred Novis Steele, age 80, of Hogansville, passed away Friday, April 3, 2026, at Hospice LaGrange.

Mrs. Steele was born July 22, 1945, in Coweta County, daughter of the late Jesse Ripley Breed and Sally Fanny Shepard Breed. A graduate of Troup Tech, she was employed for many years as a licensed practical nurse, first at Heard County Memorial Hospital and later at Florence Hand Home. She was a member of Franklin United Methodist Church and loved crocheting and collecting ceramic dolls.

Survivors include her son, Timothy Thompson (Rena) of Hogansville; grandchildren, Derrick Thompson, Kelly Fercile (Josh), Lilly Thompson, and Timothy Thompson; sister, Mary Nell Skipper and brother, Jesse Breed, both of Franklin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Grace Thompson; and her husbands, H. C. Thompson and Bobby Steele.

A memorial service is not being planned at this time.
