Mrs. Mildred Boswell Phillips, 90, of Hogansville, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Hospice LaGrange.
Mrs. Phillips was born August 3, 1925, in Coweta County, daughter of the late James Robert Boswell and Ida Belle Attaway Boswell. A resident of Hogansville most of her life, she retired from Uniroyal, Inc. after 40 years of service and had attended Highland Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, was known as an excellent cook, and loved spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her son and daughter in-law, John and Susan Phillips of Hogansville; granddaughters, Dacia Clark and her husband, Wade of West Point and Casey Phillips of Hogansville; great-grandchildren, Preston, Camryn, Tiffani, Baylie, Makayla, and Devin; sister, Elizabeth Smith of Griffin; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 11, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with interment in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Saturday.
