Mildred Hester O'Neal

Mrs. Mildred Hester O'Neal, 94, of LaGrange, passed away Friday, February 19, 2016, at Hospice LaGrange. Mrs. O'Neal was born October 1, 1921, in LaGrange, daughter of the late Charlie Jefferson Hester and Gladys Bohannon Hester. She was employed for a number of years as head teller at Montezuma Banking Company, retired as bookkeeper for Gusto Brands, and was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. She shared her unconditional love with her family and was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors include her daughter, Theresa Haralson and the late Pete Haralson of LaGrange; son, Johnny Stone, Jr. and his wife, Bonnie of Cumming; grandchildren, Keith Stone and his wife, Karen, Kris Stone and his wife Teresa, Kelli Stone, Scott Haralson, Tracey Alford and Clay Haralson; great-grandchildren, Matthew Stone, Zachary Stone and his fiancée, McKinsey Irvin, Sarah Stone, Pete Haralson, Peter Thomas Alford, Christian Alford, Curren Alford, Cason Alford, and Shayona Elizabeth Hope Haralson; and great-great-granddaughter, Ella Morgan Stone. Mrs. O'Neal was preceded in death by her husbands, Johnny Stone, Sr. and Blanton B. O'Neal. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 23, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, with the Right Reverend Allen Pruitt officiating. A reception will follow the service in St. Marks Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark's Episcopal Church. 207 N. Greenwood St., LaGrange, GA 30240..
