MRS. MILDRED M. McCOY Mrs. Mildred Mathews McCoy, 98, of the Rocky Mount Community of Meriwether County, died Saturday, November 2, 2013. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 4, at Bethel Baptist Church in Rocky Mount. The Reverend Bobby Boswell and the Reverend Jeffery Sarine will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 until 6 Sunday afternoon. Mrs. McCoy was born June 8, 1915, in Meriwether County, daughter of the late James Patterson Mathews and Dora Almon Mathews. She retired from Playtex International, was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, and was a lifelong resident of Meriwether County. Survivors include her sons, Johnny McCoy and his wife, Betty of Gulf Shores, AL, Harold (Buddy) McCoy, Sr. and his wife, Zelda of Newnan; sister, Sarah Tidwell of Manchester; grandchildren, Douglas McCoy and his wife, Kimberley of Mobile, AL, Gregory McCoy and his wife, Amy of Nashville, TN, Harold McCoy, Jr. and his wife, Rosemary of Newnan; great-grandchildren, Hallie McCoy, Brittain McCoy, Megan Hinckley and her husband Josh, Macy Carscallen and her husband Chase, Dylan McCoy, Jake McCoy, Addison Burch, Ryann Burch. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon McCoy, and her granddaughter, Kimberly McCoy Burch. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Baptist Church. Claude A.
