Mrs. Mildred Weaver Crawford, age 102, of Hogansville, passed away Monday, April 23, 2018, at LaGrange Nursing and Rehab.
Mrs. Crawford was born January 31, 1916, in Heard County, daughter of the late William Jude Weaver and Minnie Modisette Weaver. She was a 1934 graduate of Carrollton A & M, which is now the State University of West Georgia, and was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Hogansville for more than 70 years, serving as church treasurer for 20 years.
The family is very grateful for the excellent care and attention provided by the nurses and staff of LaGrange Nursing and Rehab, and is also very appreciative for the loving attention given to Mrs. Crawford by so many friends the past few years through cards, calls, and visits.
Survivors include her son, Mickey Crawford and his wife Linda; grandsons, Bill Crawford, Chase Crawford and Drew Crawford, all of Albany; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Crawford; and brothers, Lewis Weaver and Clarence Weaver.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, April 26, at the First Baptist Church of Hogansville. Dr. John Mark Carpenter and the Reverend Greg Morris will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. Thursday.
