Mildred Ivey Coursey

Mrs. Mildred Coursey, 88, of Luthersville, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022, at her home. Mrs. Coursey was born August 16, 1933, in Cedartown, daughter of the late William Ivey and Estelle Royster Ivey. A resident of Luthersville most of her life, she was a homemaker who loved caring for her family, and was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Angela Hunter (James) of North Augusta, SC; sons, Jimmy Gaines (Donetta) of Luthersville and Eugene Gaines of Jasper; brother, William O. Ivey; fifteen grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 28, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Pastor Brian Hosmer will officiate and interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Newnan.
