Michelle Sims Morris

Mrs. Michelle Sims Morris, 48, of LaGrange, passed away Friday, March 19, 2021, at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Newnan. Mrs. Morris was born April 2, 1972, in Newnan, and was a lifelong resident of Troup County. She earned a Bachelors degree from LaGrange College, a Masters degree from Columbus State University, and was a board certified school counselor. She was employed by the Troup County School System for 24 years, was a member of the Professional Association of Georgia Educators, and was a member of Callaway Baptist Church in LaGrange. Survivors include her sons, Trevor Crawford Morris and Gunnar Christian Morris, both of LaGrange; parents, Dennis and Brenda Sims of Hogansville; and brother and sister in-law, Chris and Susan Sims of Moreland. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 22, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Brad Thompson will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday night and will be at the home of her parents in Hogansville at other times. Claude A.
