Michael Bacil Tackett

MR. MICHAEL TACKETT
Mr. Michael Tackett, age 79 of LaGrange, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Piedmont Fayette Hospital.
Born December 21, 1946, in Scuddy, KY, Mr. Tackett was the son of the late Lonzo and Thelma Ruth Evans Tackett. He was a resident of Hogansville for 30 years, formerly worked for UPS, and enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle. Mr. Tackett honorably served his country in the Army and was a purple heart recipient for wounds received in action.
Survivors include his daughter, Brooke Sewell (Chris); son, Michael Tackett; grandchildren, Jordan Alexis McCurry, Katelyn Michele McCurry, and Reality Faith Day Tackett; and great-grandchildren, Harlyn Black and Rhett Oliver Black. In addition to his parents, Mr. Tackett was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Dubanick Tackett.
A memorial service will conducted at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, March 28, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville with the Reverend Randall Hodge officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 until 5 Saturday afternoon.
