Mr. Michael A. Stitcher, 65, of Villa Rica, passed away Monday, August 12, 2019, at his home.
Mr. Stitcher was born March 12, 1954, in Newnan and lived in the Atlanta area for a number of years. He was employed as a machinist for CKS Packaging in Atlanta and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Dallas. Michael loved Harley's and NASCAR, enjoyed going on cruises and going to the beach, and had achieved a Black Belt in Tai Kwon Do.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Stitcher of Villa Rica; daughter, Cindy Brown of Eldorado, IL; grandchildren, Katelyn Mitchell, Bryce Dorris, Breanna Dorris and Caleb Curry; great-grandchildren, Lyla and Ivorie; his mother, Hazel Williamson Stitcher of Hogansville; sisters, Audrey Chandler and her husband Wayne of McDonough, Andrea Smith of Jackson; his mother in-law, Shirley Tullis of Eldorado, IL; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his faithful dog, Kloee, and was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Merle Stitcher.
The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 15, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Mike Wheeler will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Wednesday night.
