Mr. Michael Lewis Ridgeway, 61, of Sharpsburg, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2024, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Mr. Ridgeway was born February 8, 1963, in Newnan, and lived in Grantville for more than 20 years before making his home in Sharpsburg. For many years, he was an over-the-road truck driver and was a member of the Million Mile Club, which noted his safe driving record. Michael enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, bird watching and NASCAR, and was a huge Candy Crush Saga fan.

Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Elizabeth Ridgeway of Sharpsburg; children, Michael Heath Ridgeway (Beth), Zack Norton, Lauren Norton, Chris Norton; grandchildren, Amy Ridgeway (Tyler), Kylie Ridgeway, Corbin Norton, Maisley Norton, Demni Norton; great-granddaughter, Dakota Faith Shaw; his father, Royce Ridgeway of Marietta; brother, Mitchell Ridgeway (June), also of Marietta; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Melissa Jeter Ridgeway.

A service to celebrate Michael's homegoing will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 4, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Blair Tolbert will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Saturday
