Michael T. Norwood

Mr. Michael T. Norwood, 70, of Hogansville, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.

Mr. Norwood was born April 24, 1955, in Hogansville, son of the late Bobby and Viola Pritchett Norwood. A lifelong resident of Hogansville, he was a 1973 graduate of Hogansville High School, and attended LaGrange College. He was employed as a department supervisor for Uniroyal-Goodrich in Hogansville and Thomaston for many years, later worked as a truck driver, and was a member of Highland Baptist Church in Hogansville. He loved cars and was known to be a good and caring friend.

Mike is survived by his sister, Patricia Fuller of Powder Springs; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Sleasman, and his brother, Ricky Norwood.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 26, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Terry Rainwater will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, prior to the service.
