REV. MICHAEL E. FREEMAN
Reverend Michael E. Freeman, 65, of Franklin, died Sunday, December 29, 2013, at his home.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 1, at Roopville Road Baptist Church at Roopville. Dr. Stephen Peeples and the Reverend Stan Rogers will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville, with military honors.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 9 Tuesday night.
Mr. Freeman was born January 23, 1948, in LaGrange, son of the late Walker Eugene Freeman and Virginia Payne Freeman Tidwell. A veteran of service in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, he lived in Heard County most of his life and retired from BellSouth after 32 years of service. He was an ordained minister and was a member of Roopville Road Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Libby Freeman of Franklin; children, Michelle and Jeff Williamson of Franklin, Deedee and Randy Hall of Wilmington, NC; sisters, Margaret Ivey of Sandersville, Martha Freeman, Ann Toney and her husband Harold, all of Hogansville, Sandra Cole of Bedford, TX; grandchildren, Seth Criss, Ava Criss, and Zachary Coyne; and several nieces and nephews.
Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
