Mr. Mike Duchesne, 75, of Hogansville, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at Hospice LaGrange.
Mr. Duchesne was born June 11, 1944, in Columbia, Louisiana, son of the late Boatner Michael Duchesne and Earlene Simpson Duchesne. He served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army in Korea during the Vietnam War, lived in the Hogansville area most of his life, and retired as an over-the-road truck driver with more than 30 years of service driving for William L Bonnell Company and Averett Trucking. He was a Christian and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tinkering around his home.
Survivors include his wife, Ginny Duchesne; sons and daughter in-law, Craig and Christy Duchesne and Jim Duchesne, all of Hogansville; grandchildren, Corey Duchesne and Ashley Hunsinger and her husband John; great-grandchildren, Conner Boswell, Brayden Hunsinger, Kynlynn Duchesne, Kaysley Duchesne; sister, Dovie Friley; brothers, Johnny Duchesne, Tommy Duchesne; and sister in-law and brother in-law, Alice and Paul Whitten.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Friday, October 18, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Brian Hosmer will officiate and interment will be in Faith Baptist Church Cemetery in the Primrose Community of Meriwether County.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Thursday night.
