Melody Brookshire Loper

Mrs. Melody Brookshire Loper, 66, of Luthersville, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024, at her home.

Mrs. Loper was born November 12, 1957, in Hogansville, daughter of the late William Marvin Brookshire and Bonnie Sue Norton Brookshire Standard. She worked a number of years in retail sales and was later employed by a medical transport service, but she loved her children and her grandchildren and enjoyed caring for them.

Survivors include her daughters, Amanda Green and her husband Andrew Green of LaGrange, Jessica McCullough and her husband Kevin McCullough of Luthersville; step-children, Justin Loper of Newnan, Jessica Dixon of Grantville; sister, Brenda Spencer; thirteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ricky Loper; and her son, Ricky Loper, Jr.

A memorial service is being planned for family and friends at a later time.
