Mrs. Melba Kidd Littlefield, 91, of Hogansville, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2024, at her home.
Mrs. Littlefield was born December 7, 1932, in Hogansville, daughter of the late Thomas Leonard Kidd and Lucile Burson Kidd. She lived in different locations during her late husband's career in the U.S. Air Force and made her home in Cobb County for 40 years before making her home in Hogansville 15 years ago. She retired as a secretary at Sears Atlanta corporate offices, and was a member of Bible Baptist Church.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Amy Satterfield, Kristian Littlefield of Cedartown, and Addam Littlefield of Colorado Springs, CO; great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Margo, Emily, and Eric; her sister, Nadine Spradlin of Hogansville; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Charles Render Littlefield; her son, Charles Layton Littlefield; and her sisters, Bonnell Dorrough and Loneda Hobbs.
The funeral service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 13, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Jerome Wood will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.. Tuesday, prior to the service.
