Melanie J. Clark

Mrs. Melanie J. Clark, 46, of Hogansville, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Clark was born October 10, 1975, in East Point, lived in Heard and Troup Counties most of her life, and was employed at Insignia of Newnan for eighteen years where she served as executive director. She loved her family and enjoyed spoiling her grandkids. Survivors include her husband, Mike Clark of Hogansville; son, Shawn Searels and his wife Nicole of LaGrange; grandchildren, Jason, Kinleigh, and Bentlie; step-children, Kevin Prescott Clark, Kathryn Elyse Clark, Matthew Albert Clark all of Newnan, and Molly Doris Clark of Athens; her mother, Denise Hatfield of Hogansville; her father, Ernest Hatfield of Milner; sister, Melissa and Bobby Honaker of Hogansville; and brother, Doug Hatfield, also of Hogansville. The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Monday, November 8, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. Dr. Stephen B. Brown and Mr. Kevin West will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
