MRS. MAUDIE C. ROGERS Mrs. Maudie C. Rogers, 88, of Franklin, passed away Friday, October 16, 2015, at Ansley Park Rehabilitation Center in Newnan. Mrs. Rogers was born June 25, 1927, in Whitesburg, daughter of the late Walter and Mandy Stitcher Cook. She lived in Troup County for many years and was a member of Hillcrest United Methodist Church. She loved and adored all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. Survivors include her children, Shirley Boyd of Hogansville, Jim Cheatwood and his wife, Dianne of Grantville, Nancy Guest and her husband, Greg of Newnan, and Wanda Payton of Carrollton; sister, Marie Gallagher of New Market, TN; 11 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sons, James Lamar Cheatwood and Jerry Marvin Cheatwood; and grandson, James Lamar (Bo) Cheatwood. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, October 18, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Neil Awbrey and the Reverend Stan Rogers will officiate and interment will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Saturday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 6 until 8 Saturday night, October 17th, at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home Services: 1:00 p.m., Sunday, October 18th, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home Interment: Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange
