Mary Alice West

Mrs. Mary Alice West, 72, of Griffin, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2025, at Navicent Health The Medical Center in Macon.

Mrs. West was born October 8, 1953, in Newnan, daughter of the late Johnny Powers and Alice Attaway Powers. A resident of Griffin for the past ten years, she was a former resident of Newnan, where she worked for many years at Bonnell Aluminum and Cason Industries. She loved all animals.

Survivors include her husband, Neill West of Griffin; granddaughter, Holly Smith (Luke) of Ft. Polk, LA, and Joshua Lowuer (Ashley) of Norfolk, VA; sisters, Elizabeth Bishop of Griffin, Laura Walters of Arizona; brothers, Michael Powers of Covington, William Powers of Roberta. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Traci West Bishop and her son, Tony West.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 1, at the graveside in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Newnan, with the Reverend Frank Powers officiating.

The family will greet friends at the graveside.
