Mary Matthews Steele

Mrs. Mary Matthews Steele, 75, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at her home. Born May 26, 1940 in Manchester, Mrs. Steele was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Marie Howell Matthews. She lived most of her life in Meriwether County and was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Ray Steele of Greenville; children, Darren Volheim of Pace, Fl., Robin Norris of Luthersville, and Anthony Kyle Steele of Greenville; step-daughter, Sheila Blocher of Pine Mountain; brother, Johnny Matthews of LaGrange; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Steele was remembered at a memorial service conducted by her family. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements .
