Mary Patricia Moon Carlisle

Mrs. Mary Patricia Moon Carlisle, 76, of Hogansville, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton. Mrs. Carlisle was born April 21, 1939, in LaGrange, daughter of the late Jesse and Myrtle Lanier Haynes. A resident of Troup County most of her life, she retired from NOK and was then employed as a handicap bus monitor for the Troup County School System. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter and son in-law, Janice and Keith Long, son and daughter in-law, Pastor James and Kim Moon, all of Hogansville; sister, Doris Sellers of Mountville; brother, Jesse (Bud) Haynes, Jr. of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren, Jeff Long, James Moon, Jr., Jaffnie DeFriese and Jessica Jones; and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, J. D. Moon and Warren Carlisle. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 17, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Pastor James Moon will officiate and interment will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Wednesday night. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
