MRS. MARY S. NORRIS Mrs. Mary Spradlin Norris, 101, of Hogansville, died Thursday, November 15, 2012, at Warm Springs Medical Center Nursing Home. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, November 18, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Clinton Hughes and the Reverend John Mark Carpenter will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., Sunday. Mrs. Norris was born October 23, 1911, in the Simpson Community of Heard County, daughter of the late Thomas Daniel Spradlin and Scott Stevens Spradlin. She moved to LaGrange in 1920, graduated from LaGrange High School in 1929, and moved to Hogansville in 1936 where she was associated with her late husband, Lee G. Norris, in the Norris Dry Cleaning Business for 30 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hogansville and was a charter member of the Hogansville Pilot Club. Survivors include her daughter and son in-law, Mary Ann and Eddie Calhoun of Woodbury; son and daughter in-law, Steve and Gwen Norris of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Tommie Dennard and Zenobra Spradlin; and brothers, Pierce Spradlin and Phillip spradlin. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation: from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. Sunday, November 18th, at Claude A.
