Mary Lou Lankford

Mrs. Mary Lou Lankford, 77, of Hogansville, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021, at LaGrange Nursing and Rehabilitation. Mrs. Lankford was born October 23, 1943, in Reading, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Claude Merle O'Bryon and Helen Ficher O'Bryon. A resident of Hogansville for a number of years, she enjoyed attending the Hogansville Senior Center and was a member of Change Church in Grantville. She was an avid bird-watcher and was a homemaker who enjoyed being with her great-grandbabies. Survivors include her son, Billy Goebel (Lorri); daughter, Annette Gobel; grandchildren, Ericka Pitman (Blake), Tara Garcia (Marco), Mallory Norwood (Blake), Sheyanne Krejci, Shoshoney Goebel, Lakota Goebel, Kiowa Goebel, Kezia Goebel; great-grandchildren, Kayleigh, Kolton, Keeton, Kyle, Kynzlee, Esmeralda, Maddie, Rylan, Lily, Kadice, Aryssa, McKenzie, Delaney, Aaralyn, Jaiden, Bentley, Skylar, Huntlee; sister, Peggy Ann Forge't; brother, Claude M. "Buck" O'Bryon, Jr.. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Lankford Norwood; and her brother, Wayne O'Bryon. In accordance with Mrs. Lankford's wishes, there will be cremation and a memorial service will not be planned at this time. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
