Mary Alice Kee

Mrs. Mary Alice Kee, 92, of Grantville, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018. Mrs. Kee was born in Carroll County in the springtime of 1926 on April 28th, daughter of the late Ben and Annie Ruth Helton Hogan. A lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Grantville, she had been employed at West Point Pepperell, was an active member of the Grantville Senior Center, and loved to be with people. Mrs. Kee had a passion for quilting and embroidering and hardly a day went by that she didn't have a needle and thread in hand. She also enjoyed gardening and spent many hours working outdoors. Survivors include her daughters and sons in-law, Marie and Gary Cauthen of Newnan, Yvette and Bob Haralson of Hardinsburg, KY; son and daughter in-law, Bill and Delores Kee of Grantville; son in-law, Tony Martinez of Newnan; brother, Marvin Hogan of Franklin; grandchildren, Matthew Cauthen, Jennifer Pahl, Kevin Haralson, Allison Haralson; great-granddaughter, Lilly Marie Pahl; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. (Lem) Kee, and daughter, Linda Martinez. The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, December 15, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Jay Moore will officiate and interment will be in the Grantville Cemetery The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 until 4 Saturday afternoon. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
