Ms. Mary Jean Ward Joslin, 76, of Griffin, GA passed away Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta surrounded in love with her five children.

Ms. Joslin was born April 29,1948, in Lexington, NC, daughter of the late Charles Joseph Ward and Martha Elizabeth Wagner Ward. A 1966 graduate of North Davidson County (NC) High School, she earned an associate degree from Davidson Community College and attended University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She retired as a rural letter carrier after 19 years of service with the U.S. Postal Service and was a member of the Rural Letter Carriers Association.

Ms. Joslin lived in Thomaston for many years before making her home in Griffin, where she was an active member of Union Baptist Church. She loved to sing and play in the hand bell choir and was also an accomplished pianist. Ms. Joslin enjoyed volunteering at the Griffin Senior Center and participating in her quilting group. She also loved sewing, cooking, and musical theater. Most of all, she will be remembered for her love of Jesus and pure devotion as a mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her children, Robin Joslin Flory (Keith) of Greenville, Jeannette Joslin Chadwick (John) and Faith Joslin Chapman (Doug) all of Marietta, Joseph Edward Joslin (Kristin) of Hiawassee, Joshua Terrence Joslin (Danielle) of Fuquay Varina, NC; twelve grandchildren; sisters, Martha Diane Ward Wessell of Clemons, NC, Sara Elizabeth Ward "Betsy" Roland of Rolesville, NC, and brothers, Charles Joseph Ward, Jr. of Lexington, NC and Timothy Andrew Ward of Winston-Salem, NC.

The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 5, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, GA. The Reverend Daryl McCard will officiate and interment will be in the Keith/Flory Family Cemetery in Meriwether County.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Saturday, prior to the service.
