Mary Carr Jabaley

Mrs. Mary Carr Jabaley, 78, of LaGrange, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Hospice LaGrange.

Mrs. Jabaley was born August 17, 1944, in LaGrange, daughter of the late Zachary and Arrie Rollins Carr. A former resident of Grantville, she owned and operated Kountry Kitchen Restaurant in LaGrange for twenty years and not only loved her family dearly, but also loved her friends and customers from the restaurant.

Survivors include her husband, James L. Jabaley; daughters, Terita and Steve Flournoy, Sonya Jabaley, and Maria Jabaley, all of LaGrange; six grandchildren, Tara Smith, Ashleigh Gilmore, Courtney and Derrick Ryner, Autumn Gilmore, Jamie and Somer Batchelor, Crystal and Jonathon DeMouy; and fourteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Larry James Jabaley.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 20, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with Father Timothy Gadziala officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
