Mrs. Mary Anne Harman, 73, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.
Mrs. Harman was born March 26, 1943, daughter of the late C. Lee Harwell and Kathryn Sanders Harwell. She was a cum laude graduate of LaGrange College, earned a Master's degree in education from the University of Georgia, and was a retired teacher. She loved teaching and taught American History at Greenville High School for many years. A resident of Greenville for 45 years, she was a member of Greenville United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.
Survivors include her husband, Claude Harman of Greenville; daughters, Merriman Harman of Tucker, Kathryn Harman of Greenville, Mississippi; and her sister and brother in-law, Kathy and John Hunter of Bonita Springs, Florida.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 27, at Greenville United Methodist Church. The Reverend Jan Oglesbee and the Reverend Ron Capes will officiate and interment will be in Odessadale United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Thursday night.
