Mary Lassetter Gresham

MRS. MARY LASSETTER GRESHAM Mrs. Mary Blanche Lane Lassetter Gresham, 82, of LaGrange, died Monday, January 6, 2014, at Twin Fountains Home. Mrs. Gresham was born January 23, 1931, in Randolph County, AL, daughter of the late John Howard Lane and Jesse Dodgen Lane. Though she lived in LaGrange most of her life, she resided in Lanett, AL for sixteen years. During those years, she was employed as a private duty nursing assistant and was a member of Living Word Assembly of God. Until she moved into Twin Fountains Home in 2011, she attended First Baptist Church of Hogansville with family. Survivors include her daughters, Lillian Talitha Ford and her husband, Lynn of LaGrange and Mary Lataine Smith of Hogansville; son, John Will Lassetter, Jr. and his wife, Susan Ann of San Jose, CA; grandchildren, Hillary Lassetter-Dyer of San Jose, Timothy Lane Mayo of Conyers, Leslie McCutcheon of Chico, CA, Lance Ford of Orangevale, CA, Michael Lores Jones of Ocoee, FL, Lynnete Hodges of Coatesville, IN, John Will Lassetter III of Campbell, CA, Jessica Smith of Atlanta, Stacey Smith of Newnan, Jonathan Ford of LaGrange; seventeen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, John Will Lassetter and Grady Gresham; best friend, Manuel Garner; her granddaughter, Lauralye Bickford; and a long line of pampered dogs that gave her great joy. The family will host a memorial service at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 11, at First Baptist Church of Hogansville, with the Reverend Clinton Hughes officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of Lataine Smith on Friday, January 10, and Saturday, January 11, following the service. Claude A.
