Mary Lee Dollar

Mrs. Mary Lee Dollar, 78, of Hogansville, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at Florence Hand Home in LaGrange. Mrs. Dollar was born September 4, 1938, in Hogansville, daughter of the late John and Zetta Mae Payton Howington. A lifelong resident of Hogansville, she retired from Playtex International in LaGrange and was a member of Highland Baptist Church. She was known to be an outstanding cook and loved to bake, she enjoyed traveling, but her family was the most important part of her life. Survivors include her sons, Bill Dollar, Jr. and his wife Debbie, Craig Dollar and his wife Marilyn, Kevin Dollar, all of Hogansville, and Steve Dollar of San Francisco, CA; sisters, Anniebelle Hendrix of Americus, Lynda Craft of Clayton; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy D. Dollar; son, John Murray Dollar; and grandson, Jackson Scott Dollar. The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Friday, December 30, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Terry Rainwater will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 until 4 Friday afternoon. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
