Mrs. Mary Ann Collier, 80, of Hogansville, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016, at the home of her daughter in Valley, AL.
Mrs. Collier was born April 11, 1935, in Chambers County, Alabama, daughter of the late Malvan Herbert Hamil and Mary Roberts Hamil. She lived in Hogansville for 65 years, was a member of Bible Baptist Church and retired from Playtex International. She enjoyed flower arranging, loved to travel, was a talented musician, and had served as a church pianist and organist.
Survivors include her husband, Harwell Collier of Hogansville; daughter and son in-law, Dianne and Lawrence Williams of Valley, AL; sister, Betty Jane Clements of Geneva, AL; brother, Charles Hamil of Tunnel Hill; grandchildren, Shelia and Johnny Matthews, Lynn and Rodney O'Dell, Heather and Robbie Clark, Chase and Christiane Williams; great-grandchildren, Connor Matthews, Chloe Matthews, Kaitlyn Floyd, Jacob Floyd, Emily O'Dell, Nathan O'Dell, Jett Clark, Jolee Clark; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Olivia Faith O'Dell; and her brother, Donnie Hamil.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 10, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Jerome Wood and the Reverend Eddy Perry will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Saturday night.
