MRS. MARY LILLIE BROOKS Mrs. Mary Lillie Brooks, 88, of Hogansville, died Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at her home. Mrs. Brooks was born February 20, 1926, in Bartow County, daughter of the late Elijah Mark Hawkins and Bessie Southern Hawkins. She lived in Troup County most of her life and was a member of Hogansville Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Minister J. Robert Brooks of Hogansville; sons and daughters in-law, Bobby and Brenda Brooks of LaGrange. Tommy and Carol Brooks of Plant City, FL, Sammy and Bee Brooks of LaGrange; sister, Martha Leach of Cartersville; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 11, at Hogansville Church of Christ. Minister Brad Crider will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Church of Christ Disaster Relief Effort, 410 Allied Dr., Nashville, TN 37211. Claude A.
