MRS. MARY BARBER MASSEY Mrs. Mary Barber Massey, 83, of Greenville, died Thursday, August 25, 2011, at Florence Hand Home in LaGrange. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 27, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Pastor Jimmy Evans will officiate and interment will be in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in the Rocky Mount Community of Meriwether County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Friday night. Mrs. Massey was born January 1, 1929, in Meriwether County, daughter of the late John Kiser Barber and the late Nannie Roberta Hayes Barber. She was a lifelong resident of Meriwether County and was Baptist by faith. Survivors include her daughters, Sandra Cook of LaGrange and Linda Jones of Peachtree City; sister, Mildred Crews of Luthersville; brothers, Lindsey Barber of Luthersville, Eugene Barber of Greenville, and Lewis Barber of Tulsa OK; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
