Mrs. Mary Weldon Bailes, 82, of LaGrange, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024, at Hospice LaGrange.
Mrs. Bailes was born March 4, 1942, in LaGrange, daughter of the late Ernest Quillian McClain and Annie Farmer McClain. A resident of Troup County most of her life, she retired in 2004 as a licensed practical nurse from West Georgia Medical Center after 24 years of service, and attended LaGrange Pentecostal Holiness Church. She loved to travel, was a talented soloist, and hosted a gospel show on local television for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Willis Bailes of LaGrange; sons, Billy Ray Toney and his wife Teresa Toney of LaGrange, Ricky Joe Toney of LaFayette, AL; seventeen grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; step-daughter, Yvonda Moulin and her husband Christopher Moulin of Pine Mountain; step-son, Raymond Bailes and his wife Shawna Bailes of LaGrange; four step-grandchildren; and a sister in-law, Linda Weldon of LaGrange. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Wiggins.
The funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 17, at LaGrange Pentecostal Holiness Church. The Reverend Leonard Hodge will officiate and interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.
The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Wednesday.
