MRS. MARY ANN HAMLIN
Mrs. Mary Ann Sherrer Hamlin, 73, of Chatsworth, died Saturday, August 9, 2008, at Kindred Hospital in Chattanooga, TN.
The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 12, at the graveside in Hillview East Cemetery in LaGrange, with the Reverend James Moon officiating.
Mrs. Hamlin was born August 18, 1934, in Lanett, AL, daughter of the late Willie Lee Sherrer and the late Annie Garrett Sherrer. She lived in LaGrange before making her home in Chatsworth in 1990, but lived in Columbus most of her life, where she retired from Swift Spinning Mills. Mrs. Hamlin loved her family, enjoyed baking, and was especially known for her crocheting and beautiful handwork.
Survivors include her husband, Eddie Lee Hamlin of Chatsworth; daughter and son in-law, Sharon and Randy Tabb of Seale, AL; sons and daughters in-law, Donald Hamlin of Kentucky, Johnny Hamlin and Wayne and Diane Hamlin, all of Chatsworth, Jeffery and Betty Hamlin of Middlefield, OH, Jerry and Nicole Hamlin of Columbus, Terry and Janet Hamlin of Seale, AL; sisters and brothers in-law, Joyce and Robert Railey and Judith and Richard Railey, all of Woodbury; 18 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Hamlin; and brothers, Willie Sherrer, Jr., Leolin Sherrer, and Millard Sherrer.
The Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
