Mary Ann Staley Cook

February 26, 1935 — October 6, 2017

Mrs. Mary Ann Staley Cook, 82, of Newnan, passed away, Friday, October 6, 2017, at Insignia of Newnan. Mrs. Cook was born February 26, 1935, in Coweta County, daughter of the late Ernest Hubert Staley and the late Vassie Brown Staley. She was a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed and affectionately remembered by all who knew her. Mrs. Cook was the oldest living member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, was a lifelong resident of Coweta County, and was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Marvin Cook. Survivors include her daughters, Angela Moore and her husband Charles, and Alicia McLain and her husband Ricky; son, Christopher Cook and his wife Maria; grandchildren, Joshua Moore and his wife Annette, Charlsie Corbin and her husband Andrew, Hillary Moore, Heather Beach and her husband Justin, Ryan and Katie Cook; great-grandchildren, Landon and Warren Moore, Maisi, Ashlynne, Aiden, and Max Corbin, John Owen and Britain Grace Beach; brother, Billy Staley; and a sister, Faye Teague. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 8, at Bethlehem Baptist Church, with Rev. Jimmy Evans officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 2 until 3 Sunday afternoon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Diabetes Association. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home of Hogansville is in charge of arrangements.
