MR. MARVIN R. KEE Mr. Marvin R. Kee, 89, of Moreland, died Saturday, September 21, 2013, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 24, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Jeffery Sarine will officiate and interment will be in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in the Rocky Mount Community of Meriwether County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Kee was born May 26, 1924, in Meriwether County, son of the late Harvey and Lillie Rowe Kee. An Army veteran of World War Two, he lived in Meriwether and Coweta counties most of his life and retired as a driver from Carolina Freight Carriers. He was a Mason, was a member of the VFW, and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Massey Kee and is survived by his daughters and son in-law, Cynthia and Bobby Olmstead of Moreland and Marsha Stowers of Tyrone; sister and brother in-law, Sybil and Carthell Hancock of Moreland; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery Fund. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
