MR. MARVIN A. COUCH
Mr. Marvin A. Couch, 94, of Grantville, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2014, at the home of his daughter.
Mr. Couch was born June 28, 1920, in Fayette County, son of the late Marion and Effie Hubbard Couch. A resident of Coweta County most of his life, he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Grantville and was a member of Luther G. Watkins Masonic Lodge for over fifty years. He was employed at Grantville Mills and Couch Chevron Service Station in Newnan before his retirement, and then worked part-time for several years at Southern Auto Auction.
Survivors include his daughter, Elaine Harmon; daughter in-law, Nancy Couch, both of Grantville; sister, Pauline Taylor of Moreland; brother, J. D. Couch of Hogansville; four grandchildren, Letitia Summer and John Couch, both of Newnan, Greta McMillen of Orlando, FL, Jeff Harmon of Panama City Beach, FL; ten great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Couch, and son, Marvin A. Couch, Jr.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 8, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Bobby Robinson will officiate and interment will be in the Grantville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The First Baptist Church of Grantville.
