MRS. MARTHA ELLA MORGAN

Mrs. Martha Ella Morgan, age 73 of Greenville, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Born March 15, 1953, in Newnan, Mrs. Morgan was the daughter of the late James W. Evans and Lillian B. Hunter Evans. She was a lifelong resident of West Georgia, loved Jamey Johnson, reading books, and "porch sitting".

Survivors include her sons and daughters in-law, Joseph "Jody" (Jennifer) Massengale of Greenville and Joshua "Josh" (Jenny) Massengale of Griffin; sister and brother in-law, Jennie (Chuck) Cobb of Newnan; step-sons, Tim (Kara) Morgan and Joe (Tonya) Morgan; grandchildren, Haley Morgan, Tyler Morgan, Shelby Morgan, Maggie Calvert, Kerney Calvert, Jensen Calvert, Ella Warren, and Lucas Massengale; and her nieces, Jennifer Renea (Dexter) Stevenson and Bridget (Daniel) Clifton. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny W. Morgan; brothers, Jimmy Evans and Mark Evans; nephew, Richard Palmer; and a niece, Tara Arp.

The family will host a celebration of Mrs. Morgan's life at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 6, at Welcome Road Baptist Church in Newnan with lunch to be served directly following the service. In lieu of flowers, please bring a covered dish and stay for food and fellowship.

The family would like to express sincere gratitude to Debbie Clements and Kimberly Beavers for their love, care, and friendship to Mrs. Martha Morgan.
